The Team

Hello there! I’m Kim the maker and creator of SimplySoHope.
I am so grateful to all of you - new and faithful followers of our brand.

Simply SoHope (is pronounced as one word “soap”) - how did this name come about?  Originally I wanted to call the business Simply Soap but the domain name was taken - I was disappointed initially but my daughter came up with this alternative and I was in love!

SimplySoHope donates a portion of proceeds to local food banks. Giving back to the community is an important value for us, especially those struggling with food security.

I started this incredible journey back in the summer of 2013 after taking my first soap lesson with my aunt and godmother - a lifetime maker of candles, soaps and hand-painted wood decor.  The two soaps she made were - lavender and oatmeal - a very basic recipe with each bar wrapped in antique-looking newspaper and tied up with twine.

I was instantly hooked and haven’t been able to stop.

I love everything about the whole process - sourcing quality, local (if possible) ingredients - creating luscious recipes - amazing fragrances and ultimately creating a product that smells amazing and is wonderful for your body and home.

Running a small business involves an incredible, supportive team.  My husband, Michael (far right) is a partner in every sense of the word!

SimplySoHope apothecary and studio can be found in downtown Westborough.  It is located in an old textile mill building and is just beautiful.  The studio has an eclectic boho-industrial vibe - loaded with products. My cousin and master carpenter, Steve (far left) brought my design ideas and dreams to life.

I’m a Pisces ~ I'm a decorator and a shopper ~ I’m a home body and my top two favorite things to do are spend time with family and make soap.

I love meeting you all and feel incredibly humbled by your love of the products, thank you!
